Medical Training
Kathleen Bynum, DO completed her medical training at the University of North Texas Health Science Center of Fort Worth and graduated in 1990 with honors. She completed her Family Practice residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Fort Worth in 1993. She was chief resident during her 3rd year of residency
Acupuncture Training
Dr. Bynum’s initial acupuncture training was completed at the UCLA Acupuncture Program for Physicians during 1993 and 1994. In early 2001, she completed the four-year Advanced Traditional Chinese Acupuncture Program for Physicians taught by Anita Cignolini, MD, sponsored by the Southern California Keck School of Medicine.
Board Certifications
She is board certified in Family Practice, Integrative Medicine and Medical Acupuncture.

She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Association, The Institute of Functional Medicine, and American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine.
Licensure
Physician licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Practice
Dr. Bynum has practiced in the Dallas area since 1993 upon finishing her Family Practice residency. Her practice is now focused exclusively using Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. She also integrates Functional Medicine into the treatment of many of her acupuncture patients.
